Hanna and Erik are finally reunited in Berlin, where he introduces her to his old army friends and allies. As they hide out in a disused military bunker, planning their next step, Hanna begins to learn more about her father’s past. However, having glimpsed a normal family life with Sophie, she becomes increasingly frustrated at her own and at the restrictions Erik imposes on her. Meanwhile, having tracked them down to Berlin with the help of Jacobs, Marissa and her CIA colleague Meisner arrive in the city. They begin to delve into Erik’s past, seeking old connections with whom he may be hiding out. Marissa also secretly plots with Jacobs to deal with Hanna and Erik outside the official CIA remit. Sensing Marissa is on their trail, Erik and his friends start stockpiling weapons and begin to prepare for an attack. Erik realises he will need the help of another army friend, Dieter, who is reluctant to get involved due to his own young family. As Marissa and her team close in, Erik and his friends prepare their counter attack on Marissa’s hotel. However, Hanna begins to sense that one of their own group may have been compromised.
